Colours of Rhodes Again

It's two years on from Colours of Rhodes and has Rhodes changed in the intervening two years? Yes. A couple of lovely unloved buildings now seem to be lovely again so the restoration of Rhodes' architectural heritage is ongoing, which was good to see. In particular was the market building which I look forward to seeing finished and restored, maybe in another two years time. Until then here are my Colours of Rhodes Part Two.
Wait until the end for a real treat.

A friend of mine told me a tale of rural Greece, after having rented a villa there many years ago. When they got instructions on how to find the property, they included the following. "When you get to a particular junction turn left after the burnt out car." Returning to the same villa some years later, they were sent the same instructions and there it still was.
To finish, here is a photo I took in 2024 as evidence that restoration is well underway in Rhodes.

Because here it is in 2026. I actually set out to find it based on my memory of the old town, and in memory of the story about the burnt out car, and there it was in exactly the same spot.
