My last Tavistock post. These just caught my eye and they didn't fit in with the rest. It just asks so many questions starting with why?
That is my mantra for the day today, the critical question when faced with the senseless is ask the question why?
Mantra- late 18th century: Sanskrit, literally ‘a thought, a thought behind speech or action’, from man- ‘think’, related to mind.
A mantra is a motivating chant, like the “I think I can, I think I can” you repeat over and over to yourself on the last stretch of every marathon you run. (Me run a Marathon, are you mad?) A mantra is usually any repeated word or phrase, but it can also refer more specifically to a word repeated in meditation. A mantra is also any word or expression used repeatedly.
They are water stop cocks for different properties but why did they end up arranged in a random order like this?
So I am writing this and I call MOH over to look and MOH being technical says I can see exactly why. Typical, and infuriating.
MOH says there are four pairs lined up which if you follow their angles back into the road will come to two central points. The odd one, the third one up from the bottom, branches off the pipe of the lower pair. Simples!
MOH spent a lifetime in pipes, air pipes, not water pipes, so it was obvious. I spent a lifetime in art so my envisaged underground pipe layout looked more like a Jackson Pollock drip painting.
It also reminded me of the gardening advice for a natural look when planting bulbs, just throw them on the ground and plant where they fall.
