My third and final post on London Wall, for now. I have said most that needs saying about the wall itself in my other two posts which you can read using the links below. If I go to London again I will attempt to find other sections to add to this series.



Here under the shadows of One Roman Wall, an office block, lies the remains of a Roman Fort and the ancient Roman Wall of London.





One London Wall is a landmark 14-storey office building in the City of London, designed by Foster + Partners. It offers modern, column-free office space with excellent natural light, high-spec finishes, and panoramic views.

















The building delicately wraps itself around the 1800 year old London archaeology.



















































Although this part of London is an ancient development site, it is also the site of a devastating night of bombing during the Second World War Blitz. Consequently, most of what is old is fragmentary and much was only exposed as a result of twentieth century rebuilding.
